Anna Daedalus
Anna Daedalus, Vancouver 2008

Anna Daedalus is a multi-disciplinary artist working in photography, performance, sculpture and drawing. She and her husband, Leo Daedalus, often collaborate on video work and their ongoing artist book series, Disposable Books.

The pair are currently curating — and producing video for — Parallaxis, a live concert of 20th/21st-century classical music with video and film works by artists from around the world — silent-movie style. Our friends and co-presenters fEARnoMUSIC will perform works by Xenakis, Ligeti, Feldman, Saariaho, Kurtág and others. Parallaxis premieres in Portland in April, 2009.

The Daedali put on gastronomical happenings called The Cordial, consisting of elaborate, eccentric en famille meals in curious places.

Anna's current projects include photographic allegory and site-specific performance effecting an eco-social reframing of perennial nature/culture concerns in mediaeval and Renaissance painting.

A longtime Northwesterner, Daedalus lives and works in Portland, Oregon. She holds a B.A. in Spanish Literature from Reed College.
